RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHRIST
Relationships is the foundation of Love in Christianity and it was commanded by Jesus Christ to love God and neighbors ( Matt 22: 37-39 ). Without relationship with one another, there may be no love at all. “God is Love” (1 John 4: 8 ). To feel the love of God, we must relationship with Him. “Without Me, you can do nothing ‘ ( John 15: 5 ).
Not only to save our life, but we also need Jesus Christ for the relationship with God. How many hours or minutes can we give relationship with God, ? Full time or Part time relationship with Him, you can get the power of blessing according to your relationship with God. Do you want to get overtime blessing of power from Him,? If you do it, you will get it, which is the promise of God ( Psalm 37: 4-5 ). Jesus Christ wants to enter your heart and knocked, Do you hear His voice ?. Lets prepare our heart and make relationship with Him because He is the Lord of all in the universe forever. ( 1 ) Christ is the shepherd and we are His sheep ( John 10 ). His care for us and our security in Him are the salient features of this illustration. ( 2 ) Christ is the vine and we are the branches ( John 15 ). Fruitfulness comes only as we draw strength from the vine. ( 3 ) Christ is the cornerstone and we are the stones in the building ( Eph 2: 19-21 ). A cornerstone gives direction to the entire building and is, of course laid only once. ( 4 ) Christ is the high priest and we are a kingdom of priests ( 1 Peter 2 ). As priests we can offer ourselves, our substance and our services. ( Romans 12: 1 ). ( 5 ) Christ is the head and we are the members of His body ( 1 Cor 12 ). As head , He directs as members we serve each other through the exercise of the spiritual gifts which as risen Head gives. ( 6 ) Christ is the last Adam and we are the new creation ( 1 Cor 15: 45 ).By faith we are placed in Christ, the last Adam to partake of His resurrection life and power ( Romans 5: 19 ). ( 7 ) Christ is the bridegroom and we are His bride ( Rev 19: 7-8 ). Everlasting love and the intimacy of the relationship of bridegroom and bride are the obvious points of this illustration. ( 8 ) Christ is the heir and we are joint heirs ( Romans 8: 17 ). This assure us of sharing in all the glories which shall be His, when the world acknowledges Him. ( 9 ) Christ is the first fruits and we are the harvest ( 1 Cor 15: 23 ). His resurrection guarantees ours. ( 10 ) He is the master and we are His servants ( 1 Cor 7: 22 ). The servant does the will of His master and in turn the master binds himself to take care of the servant. All the believers have the potential to serve Him faithfully, equipped with talents and gifts, the more you have relationship with Christ , the more you have been touched by the power of God, it will manifest Christ victory in your life.
