In the bible, Jesus Christ spoke about His return ( Matt 24: 30; John 14: 2-3 ), Angels foretold it ( Acts 1: 10-11 ), The early Christian encouraged with one another with it ( 1 Thes 4: 16-18 ; Rev 1: 7 ). The disciples of Jesus Christ asked about His return in Matt 24, When will this ( the destruction of the temple), What will be the sign of His coming ?what will be the sign of the end of the age ?

Jesus mention the sign of the end of the age by , Worldwide war, earthquake and famines ( Mark 13: 8 ), False Christ and false prophets ( Matt 24: 23-24 ), Ecological disasters ( Luke 21: 25 ), Sign in the sky ( Luke 21: 25-26; Matt 24: 29-30 ),The return of Jerusalem to Jewish hands ( Luke 21: 24 ), An abomination in the temple of God ( Matt 24: 15-16 ), The gospel preached to every nation ( Matt 24: 14; Mark 13: 10 ). Jesus goes on to give three parables that illustrate the nature of His return. The parable of the ten virgins ( Matt 25: 1-13 ), The parable of the talents ( Matt 25: 14-30 ), and the parable of the sheep and the goats ( Matt 25; 31-45 ). Therefore keep watch, because we do not know the day or the hour of His coming ( Matt 25: 13 ). Jesus Himself declared that his return would be like “ a thief in the night “ and total surprise to the nation of the earth.

We know the return of Jesus Christ will be like the lightening ( Matt 24: 27 ; Luke 17: 24 ), the return will be the same way that He left ( Acts 1: 10-11 ), with great power and glory ( Luke 21: 27 ). And full view of all ( Rev 1: 7 ). But we do not know is exactly when Jesus will return. No one know about the day or hour, not even the angels in heaven nor the Son, but only the Father ( Matt 24; 36 ), “ Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come ( Matt 24; 42 ), He will come when you do not expect Him ( Matt 24: 44 ), therefore we should keep watch for the day of our Lord Jesus Christ coming ( Matt 25: 13 ).

Jesus gives two example of judgment that came unexpectedly “ like a thief in the night “ upon the objects of God’s wrath . The generation of Noah and Lot ( Luke 17: 26-29 ) illustrate the suddenness and total surprise of God’s judgment. The flood did not surprise Noah like a thief in the night and the destruction of Sodom did not surprise Abraham like a thief in the night because God revealed the timetable of His judgment to the one he had chosen. The Lord return will be totally unexpectedly by those who are not looking for His coming and Paul uses “ as labor pains on a pregnant woman “ which do not determine the exact hour of the day but it is possible to determine the season of birth.

God do not wants to perish His creation like you and me including the whole human being of the universe. As believer in Christ we are called to know “ the signs and the times “ but we do not know is the exact day or hour, but we do know is the season of His coming. God has not intended for you to be surprised by His return. It is possible for the Lord’s return to come to the Christian as a thief in the night if she or he is not expected and alert, but you will know the season of His return if you are walk in the light ( 1 John 1: 7 ) and if you keep watch.  The sign of Jesus Christ return is the increase of wickedness upon the earth. “ For men will be lovers for themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanders , without self control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God and having form of godliness but denying its power ( 2 Tim 3: 2-5 ).

Even though we do not know His return, the reality of Christ’s return should effect the way we live on earth now. Believers are the one who fixed our eyes on Christ in His return of second coming.  The reason of Christ did not come yet is out of 6.4 billions population on earth, just only over 800 millions have assurance of salvation and the rest are lost in God’s sight. He did not want to perish His created people. Go d is waiting to those who do not accept His Son Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, Are you ready for the coming of Jesus Christ or in the waiting list of our Lord, time is running out too fast, you do not know what will happen in your future. “ Behold , now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation “and be ready for the coming of Jesus Christ ( 2 Cor 6; 2 ).A  MEN
